Light at the End of the Tunnel

 


Sometimes the days and nights at the keyboard are relentless, with little if any progress. Today there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it is not a freight train bearing down on me. It is progress!

The biblical novel “The Third Dawn” was originally written several years ago. I was not satisfied with the manuscript, although the storyline was good. It was the writing. It was too elementary and lacked substance. There was no meat and flesh on the bones of the story.

And there I let it lie, unpromoted and hidden until April 2022. I had confidence in the story, and my writing skills had progressed to the necessary level to give new life to “The Third Dawn.” If the book would ever see the light of day, it is now—April 2023, a full year after the rewrite began. The revised edition has been completed and is off to the editor. With any luck, it will come home mid-summer, be touched up, and forwarded to the publisher.

In the meantime, work continues; decide on the front cover, back cover, and interior pages; make final decisions on soft and hardcover copies; produce eBook availability; and decide whether to make an audible copy available. Last but not least will be to establish prices and to create their availability on Internet sites.

There is much work ahead for the summer, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. It is The Third Dawn, a biblical-based novel on the life of Jesus, the Nazarene.
